WHAT DO I NEED TO REGISTER A NEW STUDENT?
Parents and guardians of new students enrolling in CCSD59 must provide:
- Provide proof of residency within CCSD59 boundaries
- Show proof of family income
- Complete the online registration process
- Provide the child’s official birth certificate
- Submit the first month’s payment of $300 (check or money order – no cash)
All five of these components must be provided before a child will be assigned to a morning or afternoon session.
Parents who have completed the registration requirements will be notified of the morning or afternoon session placement by the end of the school year.
WHAT IF I STILL WANT TO REGISTER MY STUDENT IN PERSON?
Families still have the option to register at the school office where their child will attend. Please contact our office directly at 847-593-4306 to make an appointment.
timeline
The Early Learning Center office will be closed from June 3, 2025 – August 1, 2025 due to construction. Families can still submit registration via the district’s online portal during that window, however they will not be reviewed during this window. No students will be screened during that time either.
SCREENING
CCSD59 provides preschool screenings/assessment of children ages 3-5 in the following areas: communication, motor, cognitive, social/emotional and vision/hearing. This assessment is used to determine eligibility for services and programming provided at the ELC. For further information concerning preschool screening, please contact our office.
