The Early Learning Center offers a Family University program that promotes the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of toddlers through safe and developmentally enriching programming. Family University will support parents, family members, and caregivers in their role as the first teachers of their children. Family University will also assist families in meeting their own personal goals and supporting the growth and development of their children.

ELC families with children 2-3 years old are eligible to attend (children must be two by September 1 of the current year, and three-year-olds must not be eligible for preschool). This offering supports and aligns with CCSD59’s commitment to early childhood education, birth through eight years of age.

Again as a parent, guardian, or family member, you are a child’s first teacher; the more empowered your are, the stronger and more capable you’ll be in your role. We believe early childhood matters most. Reaching children 2-3 years of age (who miss the cutoff date for preschool) will allow us to help them learn and grow prior to entering formal programming at the ELC.
