Letter from the PrincipalLetter from the Principal

Michele

I extend to you a very warm welcome to The Early Learning Center in District 59, home of the Jr. Hawks!  The Early Learning Center is where District 59’s youngest learners begin their educational journey in an environment that inspires curiosity and interaction, connects to nature, and welcomes the community.  I am honored to be the principal of the Early Learning Center and look forward to serving students, staff and families.

Early childhood is an exciting time in your child’s education and we want to make sure that these early experiences are positive and rewarding!  Utilizing the Creative Curriculum, researched-based teaching methods, children’s interests, and the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards (IELDS), our highly qualified, dedicated staff collaborate to design experiences for children that promote learning and growth throughout the day. Our environment and daily routines encourage children’s curiosity and exploration, along with social, emotional, intellectual and physical development, thereby supporting our district mission – Preparing students to be successful for life.

We acknowledge the important role that families play in the lives of their children and invite you to work with us to help us serve your children. To that end, please note that we welcome your feedback; call, email or send a note. Also, you are always welcome at The Early Learning Center. We simply ask that if you want to visit that you make arrangements and call ahead to schedule your visit.
